Leading engineering infrastructure provider’s choice leads to United Utilities benchmark request

DERBY, United Kingdom: December 14th 2008.  Morgan Est, a leading specialist in the design and delivery of complex engineering projects for public and private sector organisations, has selected TBS Enterprise Mobility’s TaskMaster technology to manage the workflow of field workers

Using TaskMaster, job details associated with the replacement of gas mains - such as pipeline construction and affected properties - are simply recorded using TaskMaster on Windows Mobile devices.

TaskMaster also ensures compliance with the Traffic Management Act and records precise location details using auditable GPS details and images.

Phil Turney, Project Manager for Morgan Est, said: “The use of mobile data capture allows our construction engineers to manage their time more efficiently.  This implementation will give a saving of approximately 153 hours a week amongst the 50 construction engineers on this project.”

Detailed electronic forms are now transmitted immediately on completion of tasks, whereas the processing of paper documentation could take up to 10 days.

TaskMaster’s speed of delivery is matched by its speed of configuration.  As well as providing all the functionality required, it was configured and implemented within days -  supporting the Morgan Est “Early Solution Together” ethos.
